today is such a sleepy day la..

during bio we were talking abt genetic diagrams and stuff
then went on to sex/gender chromosomes..
the female chromosome is XX
and the male, XY
so when they "mate" their baby's gender depends on whether
the father's sperm contain the X or Y chromosome.
the mother's egg will always contain X chromosome.

so if the dad's sperm is X n fuses with the ovum[egg],X
the baby will be a girl, XX.

if the dad's sperm is Y, n fuses with the ovum,X
the baby will be a boy, XY.

the point i am trying to put to you is that
if the baby's gender isn't wad you wanted,
blame it on the husband.

mdm rina said that last time the mother in laws will
kill their daughter in law's babies if they aren't boys,
or treat the mother like a baby machine, keep asking her to get pregnant
even after she just give birth to one, until she gets a boy.
and the mother's body will be so exausted that she dies.
or worse the mother in law will kill the wife so his son can marry another woman
who might give her grandsons.
so evil right! it's her son's fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i felt quite angry when mdm rina told the class this..
so unfair la the way they treat mothers last time..
but can't really blame them la.. they weren't that educated.
but still this is inhumane can!!!!!!
if the mother in law love sons so much ask her to give birth to one herself lah!
so bad..

sry dunno why i get so worked up whenever woman get bullied because of the man..
i can be a bit of a feminist sometimes haha =p
but it's really unfair wad..

hopefully u can get a rough idea on the part abt the chromosomes
it can be a bit confusing if you dont take bio.
